One sharp Heavy Heart...

I just finished with a polished convex edge, and man is she sharp...

Recently got it back from Busse, had them put some mags on it and a new satin finish on.

As many of you know this is my first Busse, and will NEVER leave my hands, especially after all the time and work I put into it to get it the way I want.

Here she is....

Was it all on a mouse pad? What grits of paper did you use?

I used a regular stone to cut the edge in, then sand paper, starting from 80 all the way to 1200. Then after that I used a strop and compound that was made from a guy on the forum and that put the final, polished look on it.

I will look for the vid that helped me a lot right now.

Sweet blade. I feel like the FSH's are very hard to come by these days.

I don't want to call it a "Sleeper Busse", because everyone knows about them, but they are an awesome design.

My favorite Busse, I think they are quit popular, but no like a Mistress. I hear a lot of people refer to it as the Busse 'logo' knife.

What did they do to the flats, just smooth it down a little?

I love that contrast between the satin blade grind and the dimpled flats. I have seen that before on stripped Heavy Hearts, it seems to be particular to that model. I just stripped my HH today, maybe it should go in for the spa treatment like yours.
