After looking around on ebay,i just saw a zt888 for 1950.00,buy it now, & 30+ bids on a kevin john fake strider at 380.00. this is the nonsense that ive seen lately.I say good luck & enjoy them to anyone crazy enough to spend 5 times the price of an item,or buy a fake for the same price as a real one, the latter of which i really cant figure out.anyone else puzzled by these trends lately ?I just bought a tighe coon custom from a guy on the exchange,it seems to be a bargain compared to this sillyness....

Actually I wouldn't blame any group other than "suckers/saps." And in the knife world (or any "world" for that matter), there's always more than enough of them to go around.

I agree. For me if I am getting much of $500 or $600 bucks you have to ask yourself,...how nice of a knife do I need? Part of the reason I collect knives instead of guns is that for the cost of a cheap gun, I can get a really nice knife. Of course that's only part of the reason I collect. But if if I'm going to send 1,100 or 1,200 hundred bucks,...I think I will get the Kimber 1911 that's been on my wish list a while.

People on eBay are often very stupid. I have listed things well above market price and added a "make an offer" option (things just sell easier that way) and more than one has sold at full asking price.

I questioned a guy trying to sell a XM-18 3.5 Spanto for $1500 listed as a "rare Hinderer" only because it had a Ti scale.

Also, something like that 888 cant be carried.every scratch or ding would lower its value.stupid to buy a 2000.00 paperweight to sit in a safe.or maybe when the thrill is over,it only fetches 1000.lose 1k for no reason.
