Not to sure what to call this one. Originally I had started out wanting to make a short sword but during the straightening process I snapped an inch off the tip and maybe at the same time I lost my desire to do the sword I had intended. Its still got an 18 1/4" 1084 blade with an overall measurement of just over 24". Its got iron fittings and a curly maple handle and it weighs around 23oz.

I think it would fit me perfectly:D

I'm not getting any images.

Edit: Now I see them. Not sure what happened.

Looks like it would make an excellent utility knife.

Looks good to me at 18+ inches I don't really see any difference the tip would have made.

I like it!!!

Here's a picture of it cooling off after I did a normalizing heat. It hadn't gone through blade straightening in this picture so its full length. Its just a little more pointy in this picture. Your right it really didn't make to much difference. Most likely know one would have noticed the little curve right at the tip with it the way it was but I knew it was there. It wasn't the first tip I snapped off and most likely won't be the last.

Very impressive. The domensions and overall look say "hunting sword" to me.

I love it Ray!!!

I really like the flared butt on the handle, it looks like it was made to swing

Monster dueling piece .. looks like a wicked thruster and an awesome slasher. How does it feel and balance

Joe, All my work feels great in the hand. :D The balance point is about 3" in front of the guard. It would thrust and slash with the best of them.

I have no doubt that it would .. Some day I would really like a piece from you. I have to do some catching up but one of these days:D
