My initial impression of this blade is very good; this is a great size and weight for a belt knife. The handle is great it fills the hand better than the old SHBA and the grip is rock solid. I wasn’t sure how I would like the brick pattern and I know I like hand shaped so I decided to go that route on this one, the shop did an awesome job thanks Busse crew!

The saber grind is sweet, the edge is sharp, and the tip is pointy. I can’t wait to put this baby to work; she will make a nice companion for my Mistress.

These are not the best pics but they will have to do for now.

Ooh! That looks SWEET!!!!

Lovin' the hand shaped micarta!!! :)

Congratulations!!!!!

I just got mine delivered today, black paper with the brick pattern. I love the profile and feel of the knife but the slabs aren't doing it for me. The feel is fine, but they look unrefined and bit raw... In addition there is a line that doesn't match down the middle of each slabs, I am not sure if it's there by design or not.

All in all I like the knife but probably not enough to keep it unless I have the scales changed out .

Trial153, 30 minutes with some 80 and 120 grit paper did the trick on my scales. DIY hand-shaping is very easy on micarta.

A mean ol SOB was reported yesterday causing trouble in my local post office. Quick as a flash I was down there and had it cornered, trapped & captured :D

I'm diggin it, feels great. Will be sweet paired with the ASHBM

Congrats on your SOB! The hand shaped handle adds a different flare to the blade, I like it.

It is certainly a good looking knife, especially with those smooth scales. Congrats.

The primary edge bevel looks pretty substantial. I wonder if you have a caliper, and could measure the thickness at the transition from the primary edge to the flat grind portion?

It is an excellent knife. A home run imo. The curve in the handle close to the blade feels like you have your finger in a choil. A really comfortable choil.

Hand smoothed looks fantastic. How's the feel in terms of thickness and grip? Any loss of material from the hand smoothing or desire to add a spacer?

Got mine today too. Initial reaction is that it's a keeper.
