  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

I have a Koster Bushcrafter that have had for a while yet to make a sheath for (What do they say about the barbers kids?) and while I was finishing a run of five for some customers - I made a slight mistake at the base of one sheath. Not enough for the customer to know - but I would have known - so I decided to change the design and keep it for me.

I had always wanted to do a Alan Wood style sheath for myself - and this was my chance. I made it something like Alan wood, added my own ideas on the fly, and came up with what you see below.

I am not sure if I like the firesteel loop placement - but I think I do, and I know the sheath will last for as long as I have the knife.

Comments always welcome:

Nice work bro - the edges look seamless. You make great sheaths, bud.

I too love the color and texture of the leather.
Also, I love the shape of the bottom of the sheath which is slightly rounded
compared to other bushcraft type sheaths.

BTW, your scandinavien bevel looks so well polished !

Fujita-san,

I take my scandi grinds to a worn 2000 grit wet dry (on plate glass) and then strop it lightly with black and green polishing compounds.

But, 01 makes sharpening and polishing a joy.

I dig it!

I am always so glad to see people making sheaths that put the butt of the knife right at or below the belt line.
