This knife is one that won't be making the trip to the Blade Show. I wanted to post a picture before it gets out of the shop. The sheath with the rawhide lace is not normally an option, but we might have to add it to the list. The blade is 5 inches long and made of 1095 steel. The handle is leather and white tail antler. Hope you like it.

Wow Harry, that is Beautiful my friend  I like the gray etched finish on the blade, handle is superb ! Sheath is excellent, definately add it to the list ;) It has that "old school" look to it that I like so much :) Both, very well done.

The finish is done by polishing to 600 grit, etching in diluted ferric chloride, and then cleaning with OOOO steel wool and oil. It leaves a kind of dark coloration on the blade, but the blade polished not frosted. It is like it has been used for years, kept clean, but not let rust. Some customers request it rather than just a polished blade. I like it myself. It took me about 20 years to get a look like this on a Morseth and I ended up with some pits.

That is really nice, Harry. and don't feel bad.....I have a LOT of knives that will never make it to Blade......like ALL of them....lol:D
