I just happened to notice my post count is almost up to one thousand! Funny, I don't consider myself that chatty! Well, It did take four years to accomplish this feat.

In the spirt of Bladeforums sharing, I'd like to offer this brand new Buck 110 that I just purchased on ebay for this purpose. I chose the Buck 110 for several reasons. First, it was my first "real" knife. I carried one in my back pocket in high school. I carried one for six years while in the U.S. Navy and it went around the world twice with me. I carried it during the Tanker Wars in the 80's, and again during Desert Storm. There were many times I was glad it was there on my belt when I needed it most. I was always glad for the added security it gave me. I never went ashore without it! When I re-entered the real world of work and toil, all the experienced guys I worked with wore one. Many of them still do. I still see 110's everyday on the belts of Police and Game Wardens, Electricians, Mechanics, Welders, and Janitors. Its a timeless design that still has a place in the working world, as well as in the backcountry. Even though I've made over a hundred of my own knives, and have probably owned between five hundred and a thousand in my life, I still carry mine quite frequently.

Anyway, here's the deal. Simply reply to this post. Your post number is your entry number. I'll draw a number on the 4th of July, one of my favorite holidays, and the winner gets the knife. One post per person please!

I'll only ship to addresses in the USA. One more stipulation; Please, only post if you are going to use this knife, or promise give it to someone who will. I really want this to end up in the hands of someone who truly needs it and will use it!

That's it I guess.
Thank you all,
Scott

Thanks for the chance! I could go for a good sturdy knife that I'm not afraid to use out on the job site.

I like your reasoning -- it makes sense to give away a knife that has a meaning for you. That's better than picking one at random.

count me in, i would love a 110 (i know they don't cost much, just havnt got around to buyin one)
