Here is the only village model to arrive this afternoon. It is 18 inches, just about 3/8 thick and weighs about 1.5 pounds. The fit is usual village quality with steel bolster and buttcap -- strength, not beauty. Handle is oak and roughly finished. Hammer and grind marks visible entire length of the blade. Hardness not like BirGorkha, maybe 56 Rc. Tough knife and edge is pretty sharp but did not want to take the hair off my arm.

It came without karda and chakma. Those you see and will get are from BirGorkha and came out of my "extra" box that I mentioned in another thread today. The karda has a magic stone mirror finish and both are handled in hill walnut. They look a bit out of place but the rig needs them. I think the scabbard may have been made by the unknown kami who made this knife in some village shop. It is okay. The frog looks like an old style HI superfrog.

We will deliver this village model to your door for $75.

Call or email if interested.

Actually, this khuk appears to be a bit on the ugly side. But by the same token, it also looks like a real workhorse -- the kind of khuk that can easily withstand a lot of use and abuse. It was obviously made to be used and not put up on a shelf and admired.
