I just read that whole 4 broken kukris thread, I'm pretty furious and I sure hope UB didn't get screwed. Did Rusty spot this thing in time?
 
I don't think so. Look at what Uncle Bill did- no questions, just money on the way.

Thanks for saying that Bill. I / We need this. But I'm still mad. I was never too hot on the ban troll wagon, but on this one I'm holding the stick to the Radio Flyer.

I will calm down and find a little peace.

You know, I often go outside and cut a few more logs with these weak khukuris of mine, and find tranquility and happiness. You know, the blades I'd trust my life to above all others- those HI khukuris?

This kid developed a pretty elaborate hoax to take Bill for a couple of hundred bucks. I hope his parents believe in corporal punishment.

His home page shows a hotel resort deal and asks the visitor if he wishes the web page in Spanish, English or Nordic.

I almost want to ask this waste of animated tissue if he shouldn't wait outside Bill's house. Maybe the door will be unlocked someday and he can sneak in, find Bill asleep and take all the khuks he can carry. I want to ask him if he's ever rolled a wino in the park, or hit a man who was down, or lied on an exam, or?

Actually, I don't ever want to speak to this guy again.

I remember reading Eikerværing's post from 2002 mentioning how he bent his 25" Kobra. He was cutting down frozen trees in the snow! Here is the link. If someone wants to abuse their knives in such a way, they probably should not buy them, much less ask for a refund after they break.
 
Pending his being able to get them to his unit, I'm sending several khuks with my son for his soldiers and him to use in combat. Think I trust HI to back up my son and his men? I'll give you just one guess.

If Rene is not Eikverang, then the two men have very similar backgrounds, and Rene stole the picts from Eik. I will continue to withold judgement because Rene could have victimized Eik as well. But it sure looks bad.

I remember the broken Kobra very well. The same sort of apparent disregard Rene shows. I think the two are the same but I'll wait. (If you think about it- Rene could have told the complete truth except for one thing- he was Eik. ) Another thing; I used to have political disagreements with Eik all the time. The manner and style in which Rene examined my posts to him remind me of Eik.

btice- look at the way we handled it- Rene was welcomed by the vast majority. We had nothing to hide. If there was a problem we wanted to know about it.

My sons will inherit my HI khuks. Course, I'll be buying them a few before I kick the bucket when my bolster breaks.

I'm with you Munk. I am proud of the way the forumites and Uncle Bill handled this situation. I still think something is a little fishy, though.

Rusty has just posted the news a forumite has confirmed Eikerverang is the same as Rene. What this means is after blowing up four khuks he gets his money back- but it is not as bad as my fear he'd actually defrauded Eik and stolen the money from Bill.

He was not upfront with his identity. But he claimed he was being forthright and honest.

I don't know about where you are, but it's too hot a day here to get worked up over people being what they are.

I've said this before about manipulators, narcissists, sociopaths, "clergy killers" and on and on. My prayer used to be:

"Dear God, help them to see themselves and understand the anguish they are causing, and pardon them. On the other hand, if they don't stop doing what goes around before it comes back to bite them in the rear end, then can I have tickets on the 50 yard line to watch it happen?"
