It was 1 year ago today that we were told our 2 yr old, almost 3yr old Daughter Gabriella had cancer. She was diagnosed with Retinal blastoma and had her right eye removed.
She has now been cancer free for a year. This is a pic of her after she received her prosthetic eye about 3 weeks ago.
I'm thinking of this day as a day to celebrate and not the day of shock and horror that it was.

Tough kid.....going through all that and she still looks happy. Thanks for sharing the great news.

That's a great way to think about it. It looks like she has adjusted well. Kids are so resilient. Best wishes for a long and happy life for her!

I'm speechless. I wish her every good thing that life can send her way! Best wishes to all of you.

Wow she looks to be doing great! best of luck to you and your family:thumbup:

:thumbup:Great to see a child do well after a trying situation and parents keeping a positive attitude!!! You are all to be commended and may God continue to bless you all!

I hope she continues to do well. Its pretty amazing that they matched the color of her other eye perfectly.

Wow, this is news to me. What a delightful and beautiful young girl!

Hat's off to you, Chuck. The Gedraitis family stands tall. :)

If she has your attitude, she will go far in life. Many congratulations, prayers and celebrations. Life is a fragile thing we all take for granted.

Hmmmm... your daughter looks as good as your knives do.

Seriously, if you hadn't said something, I would not have noticed anything unusual in her eyes. And her smile distracts from everything else anyway.

I pray God's blessings for her.

She looks like she's doing great! As Gollnick said, I wouldn't have noticed anything if you hadn't mentioned it. God bless, you have a real trooper there :)
