[/IMG]It's been over a year since I got the Spyderco Leafstorm and it's gone from about 30% EDC rotation to just about full time in the pocket.

I removed the clip and LS sits low and flat in the pocket. I also epoxyed a 3x23mm trit tube inside the translucent G10. I actually found it in the bilge of my boat when I lifted the engine cover before turning on the flashlight.

The HT on the s30v must be the best I've seen. Been doing a lot of reno's around the house in the last 6 mon. and have worked this blade damn hard. No edge rolling or chipping. Only other knife I own that's in the same edge holding league is my Lone Wolf Harsey T2...s30v at Rc 60.

I originally had misgivings about short cutting edge and hollow grind, but it is a light easy access in pocket folder that opens fast, cuts well and closes and back in your pocket just as fast. Either hand.

Bushing pivot system is fantastic, no play at all. Lock up has gone from original 50% to about 55%. After one year of hard use you can push the lock bar hard over with NO give or binding on the blade tang. Try that with your Strider...my PT jams up tight when I do this. I bought the LS because of the Chris Reeve style "no play" bushing system.

I originally thought the Sebenza had no give because of two solid titanium slabs. Other Ti/G10 frame locks I've owned have all had some give. Not so with the LS.

I hardly carry my Sebenza any more as the Leafstorm holds an edge longer with s30v,and is a better pocker carry. I did not expect the Leafstorm to be the funky little knife that could.

I'd like to see some pictures of the Tritium tube.;)

Great review. I am glad the LS is working for you. I really want one. Maybe I can trade something to get one. hummm...

I love the look of this knife. Some day I hope to buy one, right now, I can't justify the price. But I'm glad to hear it is of such superb quality!

ive had mine for a few weeks, and cant believe i waited so long to get one. everything about it is top notch.

if youre on the fence, jump down on the get it side.

Charlie ... Thanks for posting the pics for me. It was easier sourcing the 3x23 tritium vial and mounting it than trying to post these pics.

When I first saw a picture of the Leafstorm, my first thought was that translucent G10 would allow a large trit tube to show through.

I took the easy route and epoxyed the tube on the inside where it did not interfere with the blade. Best would be to drill a hole from back of G10 towards and into lanyard hole in line with handle. Don't try without drill press !

Got the 2x23 trit tube from Merkava at Blade Forums Market place Comes in many different colours.

That is cool, I suppose a drill press could work much better. A vice and some good bits may do the trick as well. I've wanted to do something similar to mine, I just never got around to it. I may try it with a smaller trit tube though (inside teh lanyard hole).
