ive had the bulldog for little over a year now. not a big deal for some, but an accomplishment to me because i rotate knives a lot. this is the longest running JK i've owned, the rest were gifted or sold over the last few years. the longest knife before this for me was an NWA stinger that i had for almost 3 yrs but sold after taking the bulldog out on several camping trips and realizing she was "the one." favorite knife of mine. i've enjoyed making her mine. :)

what favorite/oldest JK's have you guys had for atleast a year and why? let's see some pics of their patinas!

I can't believe it's already been a year already! If anyone else would try that design they would realize what a great all around knife it is.

yes. it's been a year! i agree, if more people tried this design, i think they'd like it. i've often thought about doing a pass around, but honestly, i can't part with this blade for any given period of time. lol. here she is in her newly wet formed leather sheath. i just took your basic sheath and fitted to her. perfect retention. :)

No patina because I clean it with WD40 and scotch-brite.(to get sap and such off)

That tool is looking awesome Myke. The micarta has a nice patina:) I really like the tool and the rule #9. They are both great, versatile designs. Where does it balance?

Man that Bulldog looks nice! The handle seems good'n beefy. You wouldn't have a picture of you gripping it would you??

just posted this one in the camping thread, but here she is again....

This is the JK Vermont Hunter. i designed it and John made it for me in July of 2013. it isn't going anywhere.

**EDIT: P.S. i put the handle on, so don't blame John. ;) :)

pics in grips! this is a bad a$$ knife. very comfortable to hold and use. no hot spots. it's going out again this weekend/next week for a two night camping trip on a lake. :D like TPVT, this knife is also self designed and built by john. i was inspired by some of the spyderco patterns with humped back handles and ramps. :D john does an excellent job turning paper into steel. he has the pattern so don't be shy. i don't think you guys would be disappointed.

John,

Can you give the specs and price for the Bulldog (Damn I like that name!).

Thanks!

Original JK Toby's knife, it's tip has become a little more round through use and me learning better sharpening skills

Everyone should have one, it's just as much at home in the kitchen as it is in the outdoors.
