I saw the Onion Mid-Tech Boa in Knifes Illustrated, and I say, "Whoa!"

Are these equally scarce as his fully custom work? Does anyone have one? What do you think about it? It looks like a knife I'd like to check out.

I've had one and its an outstanding knife. And yes the value is skyrocketing on even the middies. When I picked mine up it was $900, today they're going for as much as $1600, if you can even find one.
 
That bums me out. I don't know what planet the author of the article is on. The article reads like Onion mid-techs were developed so that everyone who wants one can get one. It mentioned a price of $500.00. Now I find out they are scarce and high-dollar collectibles, as is the regular customs.
 
I think Ken had planned to make alot more of these, then his back surgery came up and there werent too many made, hence the price went up on the secondary market.
 
please don't tell me i'm carrying a knife with a resale value that high every day at work...
 
Scares the heck out of ya don't it??:)
May have to put it away so you don't drop it, or hurt in another way with it's value being so high.
You may have to go back to carrying those cheap Sebenzas you have :D

wonder if there will be any at Vegas Classic in the lottery... I sure hope so as I am already saving :D

This discussion is getting more disheartening by the minute. ;)

Well, coming back from a win at the Emerson lottery, maybe lightening will strike twice ... except I have to be in it to win it, and I will be nowhere near Las Vegas ... :rolleyes:
 
there was an Onion lottery last year.... it was right after the Blackwood lottery :eek: I got to hand a few midtechs from various friends at Blade West . They truly are worth the $$$ .

Sign me... waiting for the lottery in Vegas ;)
