Is anyone a member of the asm, I was wondering how the online pdf access to the guide works. It would be almost half the price of a hardcopy if the ASM & heat treater's association membership fees were the only requirements to view it.
I got in an old copy of the Atlas of IT & CT Diagrams, but to be quite honest, I had already found scans of most all the diagrams in it for the tool & alloy steels that make good knives-1095, 5160, 52100, O1, A2, D2, etc. Really didn't give me much in the way of new useful info. What other steels in the HT Guide would be useful? The Atlas didn't even have 440C, which I thought was strange (did have A&B)
