Can anyone recommend some GOOD online watch stores? I'm tired of seeing MSRP prices when I should be able to get them for about 70% of the MSRP. You know, just like in the world of knives. :) Thanks!

GO TO THE SEIKO CITIZEN WATCH FORUM (Google it) and you should find all sorts of information on good on-line dealers with great prices.

99WATCHES is a great one for Seiko's for starters.

Good luck.

I thought I got pretty decent (if not great) prices from a place called Worldlux. About 20% cheaper than I was seeing elsewhere on the two $60-80 watches I bought. Lot's of really expensive stuff though -- it's almost worth ordering something just to get their print catalog. Lots of pretty pictures of very nice watches and pens.

I bought my son's Baby G-Shock from Jomashop.com and had a great experience with them. Prices were among the best I could find.

They have seemingly everything...including "high-end" watches.

Thankyou everyone! Lots of very useful information. Bladework, yes there is a particular watch that I am looking for. It's a Pulsar Alarm Chronograph and I did find it at wristwatch.com for half the MSRP! Thanks again everyone! :)

There are a lot of discount websites out there, but sometimes they are not authorized dealers of watches that they sell, so they are considered "gray market" watches. But you *can* find authorized dealers in some cases that will sell watches at a significant discount.

You can find a lot of this type of information at www.timezone.com. For instance, there is a gentleman who posts in the Omega forum named Keith Downing who can put you in touch with an authorized Omega dealer that sells all Omegas at 30% of MSRP. I just got a couple of pieces from his dealer - the guy is super knowledgeable and helpful.

Don't forget overstock.com They have a variable selection at half-way decent discounts. Try comparision shopping on something like pricescan.com for more sources as well.

I've bought from these people a couple of times - http://www.alanmarcusco.com/ They're in the metro Washington DC area. Their product lines are a little more upscale, but if that's what you're looking for, their prices and service are very, very good.

Are you sure they sell the stuff online? Looks like they just have a catalogue but you probably either have to call them or visit them to buy. They do have good prices though.

Ebay may be your best bet.
Yesterday, I bought a Seiko SKX779 for $133 off ebay from a "power seller" with 99.9% positive feedback. $12 shipping, plus 3 for insurance, so $148.
Best price I found elsewhere-$187+9.95shipping on Amazon. It's $225 at Princeton Watches with free shipping. $350 retail.

I'm still not 100% comfortable with buying from sellers that are overseas, but it's hard to beat the prices.

No, I'm not. Now that you mention it, I've always dealt with them by telephone, primarily because of the price of the items I was interested in purchasing.
