Tidioute 735109EC LHL Rosewood.

I now own two. BEAUTIFUL Rosewood.

One of my dealers is out, the other shows (at least) one left.

Get it? LEFT. LOL Wow I need more coffee ;)

AND as always, I am glad to help :D

Very nice knife. I really like the wood handles GEC puts on some of their knives.

Have you considered a line of work in slapstick??:)

LOL+++ NOT any more. I got tired of hitting the sidewalk after the comedy

clubs tossed me out. Ouch  :D

GEC does wood as well as they do stag and bone, which is to say as good as anyone, right now. She's a beauty, Dude!

Could you email me with your dealer? I'd love to get one of these as I'm left-handed.

Yes, EC="End Capped". Just means a bolster on the non-pivot end. GEC made only bare ended trappers (Pioneer and Scout models) for some time; then started periodically capping them.

In my left-handed stupidity, I have a question.

What is the advantage of having it left-handed?

You can see the shield on it when you use it.

Well, you can...

Ok, if you are left-handed, you can push the liner lock with your thumb instead of having to pull it. You can use it left-handed as a right-handed person would operate their standard knife.

i was fortunate to get one of these when 1st available. a good friend of mine prompted my attention that the rosewood was exceptional . woods are like stag in that they can be vanilla obscure to dynamic. this is generally the nature of grain & figure structure in wood & in stag color and texture. bone is dependent on dyeing & jigging processes. as with any natural material the tactile & visual signature announces it's desirability.thanks to 41 dude for alerting members to this exceptional wood.

Ok, one ordered and on it's way. Didn't order the one that called the loudest but the one I thought might not be there later.

Question: now I'm not sure I'm comparing apples to apples but does GEC still only occasionally end cap their knives? I looked at another dealer and it seemed almost all of his had the end cap.

Depends on the pattern. 2 Bladed Scouts / Pioneers are rare with end caps, but they did make a few. Some of the newer dealers don't have a big stock in the older bare end models (which is about all GEC made for the first year).
