Only thumb hole knife?

Hey guys - With the new 2015 product line, is it safe to say that the small Grip is the only BM model that still offers the Spydie thumb hole for opening? The small grip, and small Bone Collector, are a couple I really like.

Or am I missing a model from the line in that same size area?

As an aside, does anyone else think the new gray/white color combo on the new Summit series looks odd? WIsh they'd of kept the Bone Collectors with their G10 and thumb hole.

Actually the new 808 has an oval thumb hole.
However, the 808 is a much bigger knife.
I've got one on pre-order, can't wait.

Yeah - I was hoping in the "mini" like knives they'd keep a few with thumb holes as I find them easy and quick to deploy. Seems they're phasing out the Spydie holes in favor of the thumb studs. I'm really fond if the Bone Collector run in D2. Great knife.

It never ceases to amaze me that these ideas aren't run by me first for appreival. Ha.lol.

Missing the 741 and the 746 which have the spydie hole. I think they are bringing them back in 2015. Trying to get rid of one at the moment lol

Those models just really never appealed to me I guess. I like my pocket clipped knife to be around 4" closed or they are just too big to suit me.

I will admit to never ever handling the mini-onslaught though. It might not be too bad. Looks as though the ergos are good.

I'm with you, and I thought about this in search of knife that is lighter and when you jogging in cold weather, you lose dexterity and thumb hole is better than thumb stud.

For current production, I chose 550SG (If you chose D2 or S30V, it is saber grind). For discontinued, there are AFCK, Onslaught 741. (of cause Bone Collector) Both of them have good ergonomics IMO.

I'll be curious to see if over the next year or two, BM phases out the thumb hole altogether. I recall reading that BM had reached an accord with Spyderco concerning the use if the hole and perhaps that is due to lapse? Just guessing.

As I've gotten older and my hands don't have the dexterity they used to, a thumb hole sure is nice to deploy and put away one handed. Still like my Sebbies and other "stud" knives but the tbumbhole seems the most user friendly, if that makes sense.

Aside from my trusty alox SAK. LOL. But that's a two hand operation.
