Well it only took two months to make enough trades, sell a knife or two and a gun, and sneak shipping costs past the wife to get three new knives. I have already posted the OJGW once before but here it is with my two Scrap Yard blades.

Here's one of the kid with his CRK, just for S&G.

Great job on the collection and btw, you little guy looks like a real knife nut in the making!!

Thanks guys he really likes shiny stuff, but he seems to stare at rectangles on the wall more than anything.

We prioritize what we like the most! Sell, trade, and save to get incredible blades. Good Job.

After all his Christmas presents are bought I am ordering some Mashed Cat kydex for the MUK. Already talked to Eric about it, so hopefully I will be able to order in the next two weeks.

Thanks Amy-0, Stop it Vox I don't have anymore guns to sell so a chopper will have to wait. I did limb a pine tree with the Scrapper6 after I got it just to see how it worked. I need to get into convex sharpening so I can touch the edge up on it though.

Nah, you definitely need a chopper. The bushwacker is still up for sale, the SAR8 CG might be right around the corner, and there are lots of test team killa zilla's to be had...

yeah, a chopper is what you needs.

So I guess I need a chopper... Obvious choice is the new Bushwacker but what are some other options? Just told the wife what I wanted and of course her first question was "how much?" I think she had an aneurysm after I told her I was serious and she quit laughing at me. So what about the Dog Father? Would that suffice? I know its not INFI but at least its in the family.

There are LOTS AND LOTS of other options - the Dogfather or M9LE from swamp rat are both excellent choices - I've had both and liked them a lot. The M9LE was a more light and fast balance, while the dogfather CG is all power. Do you want a pure chopper, or a more machete-like brush clearer that can also do some mean chopping?

For the biggest, baddest pure chopper you can find, the MOAB, NMFBM, FFBM, or Killa Zilla seem like the serious choices. The zilla and MOAB are obscenely expensive, so probably wouldn't go over well with the wifey ;) At a slightly less insane level, some of the other Battle Mistresses, the Dogfather CG, and some of the older swamp rat designs seem like natural choices.

For more light and fast balanced knives that still chop very well, the Dogfather LE, M9, Bushwacker, ZT BM-e, or some others would be good choices.

OR, you could skip both of those, and go for a more well-rounded 8" or so camp knife, like the NMSFNO, SAR8, FSH, Son of Dogfather, etc etc etc....

Or just get one of each  :D

I think your right. I may try the Swamp Rat then I will have one from each part of the tree. But I'll tell you I just got done looking at the Busse site and for $397 that seems like it would be a lot cheaper than waiting for a used or older one since they sometimes seem to go up in price. But it will all have to wait till after the new year.
