Actually, in the 1930s, William Scagel's fancy knives cost as much as $50.00. That was a heck of a lot of money then.

I saw that the other day and just shrugged it off. He's an opportunist anyway. Maybe somewhere deep inside he feels that *to him* this thing is worth 40K, but he's dreaming.

Let's see--I could bid and hope it doesn't climb too high, or just grab it now for an extra $10k and 'Buy it Now'. :rolleyes:

If he was retarded enough to think that, then yeah, maybe I can understand it a little bit, except then he would be starting his bid at $.40.
 
I don't get it. Why would he even think it would be worth anything? Keep in mind I'm not an ebay guy, I've only bought a couple of golf clubs off it.
 
This (unfortunately) wouldn't make the top 100 list of stupid things on ebay!

There is a chance he thought he had entered $40 and $50, and didn't get the decimal place right. It happens, but if not, then he sure has a high opinion of himself. :)
 
Maybe his wife is getting on his case and telling him to sell some of his stuff he realllly doesn’t want to sell to pay bills. So... he says he is selling some of his knifes on ebay, he just doesn’t say for how much.:D
