Looking for any info anyone might have on the Ontario 24" Entry Tool. I'm looking for a forcible entry tool that has some axe type cutting capability for sheet metal and such. I dont anticipate any hand to hand axe combat in my future, and money is a factor, so a RMJ is out. It's supposedly made from S-7, which would seem ideal, but I'm not a steel expert. Thanks

Just my opinion, but I would look at their other models. The other models would work great for EOD and breaching.
RMJ

Thanks, I'll take a look. As much as I would love to buy an Eagle Talon, I'm spending the people's tax money, and I couldn't justify it for the amount I would be using it.

what about the Ontario Tac Tool?
i have one around here somewhere. it is similar to the Becker.

about half the price.
i've never tried to open up a door or anything else with mine, so i can't say if it can handle the job for sure.

It has long wanted to buy a tool from Ontario, but has not yet selected, 18" or 24".
Both in his hands, 24" is very brutal, but a large. 18" has seemed to me more comfortable.

Either one seems like it will get the job done. 18" one is 1/4" thick steel, has slots for gas valve turn off, & looks like it could be used as a prybar or hammer type tool, yet also could be used to control someone because of the dropdown spikes on either end. 24" one is 3/8" steel and looks more like a tool only, it has a notch for fire hydrant valve i think.

Been wanting a breaching tool for awhile. Thinking about a Council Tool version of a halligan... why? Not sure.
Although I have about a billion other things on my list... but that would be fun.

Before i got my RMJ i was playing with Dead On Annihilator.
In fact modded Stanley Fubar looks fun from IsTactical.

Well there are millions of them out there...

It sounds like you're looking for a "crash axe" type tool. It's a pick headed hatchet with a curved blade designed specifically to cut through metal aircraft skin (2024 aluminum?). Ontario (SP 16 SPAX) and Gemtor (D42, D46) are the two that keep showing up under Google. They're both about the size and weight of a framing hammer.
