Show your Ontario 498 off here. I like the MKII design a lot, and Ontario sure make a good user in the 498.

I did need to spend a lot of time re profiling the edges, as one side had 20deg, the other was 30deg+ in places. My poor Lansky coarse hone needs a holiday!
However, It's done now.

These are good "KaBar" pattern knives... but of course, Ontario Knife Company made. I believe Ontario is, and will remain, the last to produce these for the USMC. Why?... Because now the USMC has the newer Ontario made USMC m16/m4 bayonet, which is supposed to be both a utility/fighting knife, and a bayonet. In any case, the OKC 498 is the real deal :-)
