Just bought a Kabar 1248 Machete (by mistake), and a Ontario 8628 RTAK2 (after giving up on the idea of ever seeing a large blade Busse at retail) on purpose. Both came with very cheap sheaths - rivits even missing on the K-Bar. I'm very disappointed with the quality, cheap stiching, etc. Anyone have a solution for replacements. Also, I've heard the Kay-Bar handles are not supported by full tang, and can come off. True? These sheaths wouldn't last a week of hard use.
