Just wondering what everyone thinks of the Ontario ASEK. Worth the money? can it take lots of abuse? How does it hold up?

Thanks :)

I played around with one a few weeks ago, and I like the balance and feel of my Camillus PSK better. And I don't really like the half serrated main balde either.

I got on today and will be sending it back tomorrow.
IMO it is a pice of junk.

Why don't you like the Ontario ASEK

In case you did expect the perfect EDC, the Ontario ASEK has been designed
as a Survival Knife System for the US Army and not as an EDC ;)

I understand it is a survival knife. Dont get me wrong i do like most of the Ontario knives, but the overall quality of the ASEK was very poor. It may be just a fluk, and i got that one bad one, but not only was the blade off center it would not fit into the sheath. "OK OK Survival knife" I will lose sleep knowing that or airmen will have to depend on this knife. (I would give them a SAK) I would not trust this knife for any kind of survival,"no matter how short of period it may be".IMO
Like i said i do like Ontario, just not the ASEK
