:thumbdn: :thumbdn: Ok i just got the thing in the mail, and will be shipping it back Sat.
IMO do not waste ur money on this thing. It is a poor quality knive.
The sheath is cool looking, but the knive will not fit in it all the way.
The blade is a pice of crap, and not sharp at all.
It is very unbalenced, and the handle is crap too.
The only thing i like about this pice of junk, is the strap cutter.
I have seen better blades on $5 junk knives........

I ordered the RAT7 D2, and only hope its alot better.

A few more details would be useful. Why is the blade/handle "crap"? What does "very unbalanced" mean?

First off the whole knife was off center, so it would not fit in the sheath all the way. The blade would not cut anything.(including my skin). I do like Ontario knives, and have not had any problems with them, so it might of been a QC prob. All i know is that the only thing i did like was the rescue hook. Ok i understand that it will be unbalanced, due to weighted handle.
For the price i just think that they could of done better. Maybe its just me, but its a survival knife, and i would not want to count on the ASEK. ( no matter how short of a period of time needed.) It is great as a hammer, but i can get a hammer for $5 so thats out too.

Initial sharpness is low on many knives, the blade however being so off that the knife doesn't fit in the sheath is a bit of a problem. Thanks for the details.

Like i said, i think it was a QC issue.
I still think Ontario makes some great blades, and dont want to turn anyone off to them.(Its just that one, that i think is not worth it.)
Thanks Cliff, i should of explaned better, but i was very dissapointed when i started this post.
