I am thinking of getting an ontario blackbird. I have read a couple of reviews here but not alot. It would be used as a general hiking camping knife. I do not baton so that is not an issue. I have an axe attatched to my ruck. I have looked at the esee 4 but I cut sticks right up to the gaurd on my mora. Fish, cooking and woodcraft will be the main uses. Any oppinions, experiance, alternatives are appritiated.

I don't have one but I find it a very appealing knife. Basically a slightly large Kephart with micarta scales. Thin blade, full flat grind...should be perfect for the slicing involved in fishing, cutting, and woodcraft.

(I'd knock the shoulders off the edge grind and convex the edge...but that's just me.)
