Ontario Camp knife near impossible to open

The title sums it up well. I just picked up an Ontario camp knife online and got it the other day. Cool little knife, BUT the tools are near impossible to open. I mean rip your nails off hard. Any ideas on how to loosen these guys up so I can use the knife?

Clean, then one drop of lube. Work the blade lots, just sit in front of the TV and open/shut. You may need a steel thumbnail to assist you, but those are cheap. Short of sending it out to have the springs reground, that's about it.
