Been hearing some pretty good things about the Ontario line of knives.
The bolo seems pretty well priced.
Does anyone have any experience with this knife?
How well does it stack up against the CS, HI, as a good chopper?

The Ontario Bolo is a real bargain, for some reason selling for less than some of their other big blades. Mine came fairly sharp, and I honed it a little before the first use. In clearing a spot for a shooting house, I was taking down 2" saplings with one whack, which impressed my pals, as their machetes didn't do nearly so well. I can't compare chopping ability of many knives, because I limit my chopping to machetes, the Bolo, etc, and do little of it even then.I think you'll like the Bolo, and it comes with a surprisingly good sheath.

The Bolo is a really nice blade. But as far as chopper it will not perform as well as a khukri due to its lighter weight. But as Allen states above it does some things extremely well and may serve your purposes well. It is quite light and feels good in the hand. BTW, I've got an extra NIB that I'll let you have for $40 + $4 priority mail.
Let me know if you atre interested.
