I was given this Ontario knife Co. T.A.L.K. 1, by a buddy at work. He said his company (Apollo.. something or other near Rochester, NY) was contracted to do some work on the blade. I really am intriqued by this knife, in fact I like it alot. The blade grind is beautiful. It's nice in a rudimentary kind of way. Does anyone have any info on this, or have one? An opinion on the value would be appriciated also. Thanks!

Ontario has made some awesome folders and they really need to boost production or marketing or both on their folders.

The RAT 1
The Retribution (name check?)
The XM series
There was something called the X-RAY 14 (or something) that was an assisted opener.

I dont know anything about that particular knife.

This is a bit off topic, but what is the name of the thumbstud type thing that this knife has? It's like the ones some emersons have.

Is it a thumb... disk?

It is a thumb disk.

The Retribution and the XM series were manufactured by Fox in Italy.

I have been carrying this knife since I got it. I still like it alot. I found out Ontario knife co. was named after Ontario County NY. That hapens to be the county I was born in and lived my first 19 years in! I still only live a county away. It was made 1 hour south of Buffalo, NY.

I'm not much for plastic clips, but this one is so well thought out I love it. It allows me to have a great grip on the knife while drawing it out of my pocket. The knife also fits great in my hand!
