Hi,
One week ago I've pulled the triger on the Ontario Knife Company Blackbird SK-5 Knife designed by Paul Scheiter.

My opinion :
Pro : I do really like the knife. Good overall finish. It feels good and very secure in the hand. It is light and has a great ''tactical Kephart design’’. Outstanding timeless blade shape and good cutting geometry for food processing, butchering and woodcraft. Good news, this 154CM steel doesn't seems brittle like my Emerson MiniCom.
Cons : Not feeling the guard shape. It really kills the line of the knife and it hurts the hand/fingers in some positions. First thing I did was to re-profile the guard. Now it's rounded and it feels and looks much better.
The three stainless steel Allen screws are not aligned with the handle width. Not very aesthetic.
The secondary bevel was ground down more on one side; completely asymmetrical. It was a pain in the neck to reprofile because the steel is hard.
Conclusion : I really love this knife. An honest outdoorsman’s knife with a corrosion resistant blade which is usefull to prepare your meal without the metallic taste that your wife and kids hate...
In the same time, a complete carbon steel version (1075, 1085, 1095, 5160, L6...) tougher than 154CM, with a better cutting ability and soft enough for quick and easy sharpening in the field would be really interesting.
