Cool, but I'm not sure how you'd install a new handle on that one--isn't it molded rubber with a lanyard tube going through it?

That is amazing. They don't have to do that sort of thing, but that's good to know they will. Those type handles are cheaper to manufacture, and I worried that it would be hard to replace.
How much did your dog chew? How hard would it be to slide off the handle, once the rivet was removed, is really what I want to know.

Here you go.

The old handle should slide off easily. Just cut through the brass tube with a hacksaw.

I recommend cleaning the tang with acetone and gorilla gluing the new handle on.

Glad to see some good news on Ontario. The prevailing winds here are to trash them when possible for a lot of reasons. Mostly it seems, just to parrot the group mantra.

I had four or five times I needed to call Ontario customer support to resolve the fit of micarta scales on a RAT 7. They were outstanding in their response each time. I spoke with a live person, parts were shipped out immediately to me in very short order, and made me a big fan of not only their products but customer service. When the first shipment of new scales and attachment hardware was lost in the mail, they sent out another set of scales and another set of hardware on them! And this was for a discontinued knife! After receiving both sets, they told me to "hang on to extras since I might be able to use them somewhere".

In resolving the problem to my satisfaction, they were patient and committed, and even told me if I wasn't 100% happy with the product after our new part installation, they would contact the vendor, email me the proof of contact, and instruct the vendor to take the knife back at their cost. None of that was needed, though.

They sure got me as a customer! I have four of their knives, all great.

This also inspired me to purchase their sister Queen products with great confidence they would stand behind their knives.
