Hey peoples,

If anyone of you has one, or knows what type of tang it is built with, please let me know. I'm thinking it's probably a narrow-width tang, hopefully as thick as the blade. I'm hoping it's not a rat tang...blech.

They are a full length stick tang, same thickness as the blade. It goes all the way back and the handle is held on with the lanyard tube. Very sturdy, I'm not aware of anyone breaking any of the SP knives at the tang and there are lots of videos of people beating on them.

I just got the kukri and even though it's .25" thick it's way lighter than it looks.

Thank you!! I can't wait to get hold of one...my father-in-law has plenty of brush in need of clearing. It should be alot of fun!

Haven't gotten to test mine yet but from holding it and watching videos it seems to be a sturdy knife and a good chopper. I'm going to try and get out sometime and do a head to head against my Cold Steel kukri machete which is much thinner but a bit heavier.
