Ontario M9 Bayonet any good??

Beyond its use as a bayonet, is the Ontario M9 good as a hard use knife. I have the urge to get one, but I don't really "need" a bayonet.

as far as i understand, O. K. C. is the company that currently has the contract for production with the U.S. Army. the M9 is made to take a beating.

It's definitely sturdy, and definitely on the heavy side for a 7" blade.

Ehhhhhh... there are many far better choices.

Great for stabbing Chinese and Russians and North Koreans.
But there definitely are better alternatives for bushcrafts and other everyday tasks
