Does anyone have one of these. It looks like a perfect fighter. I've always liked the look of stacked leather handles, and I love 1095 steel. I think the blade is thicker than original issue. The specs I saw said it was a little over 3/16".
I've already ordered this knife. I decided that blade designers in WWII knew something about knife fighting!

some military knives just never seem to go out of style.
i'ld imagine that the generic spearpointed m-3 to be just such a knife!
so practical it was that its basic bladeform remains in service as varients of m-7 bayonets with numerous armed services around the globe.
the original styled leather handle m-3 trench knife has more than attained cult status i'd think!
the latest ontario m-3 reproduction is another great something to look forward to...
just be aware that it can and will rust, being carbon steel and all.

No point worrying about a little rust! I wouldn't have stainless steel anymore. In my mind, and I'm no metallurgist, stainless steel is like glass, sharp and rust-free, but brittle. Blue steel flexes like a spring. I remember watching a slow-motion film of a saber being used. I couldn’t believe how much it had to flex, just like waves on the ocean. I just don’t believe stainless could flex like that without shattering.
