A little while ago I noticed that my TAK in D2 and my RAT 7 in 1095 were just sitting around no being used. The reason why, While the RAT 7 was a good chopper, I sucked on wood work on any level (I mean the edge just didn't want to even strip bark). My TAK was just lieing there begging to be used, but it was dull as ever because of my fail convexing experiment. So I contacted Scott over at Razorback Knives and asked if he could put a convex edge as well as buff off the coating for a satin finish. Of course he said sure, and into the mail they went. About a week or two later Scott e-mailed saying they were done and on the way home. Now i did get to see them until I came home from Otakon (Japanesse anime convention in Baltimore MD. I was working there providing sound and video not as a partiptant). When I got home around 10:00 pm there they were. Sharp as razor, and shiny.

The next day I went out and did some very basic test like stripping bark, making stakes for my hammock, etc. They excelled beyond my expatitions. Once I get a chance to test these further i'll post pics. Thanks Scott for bring these knives back to life.

Sweet looking knives.

How much did they charge to strip the coating and put on convex edge?
