WOW. I am impressed with the RAT Model 1, I think its time for a Model 2. I'm seriously amazed by this knife, it just feels right. The deployment is super super quick, and super smooth. I could gush about the Rat 1 for an hour; is it wrong that I like this knife more than my ZT 0550, Paramilitary 2, Buck Vantage Pro, & Emerson Mini-Commander? It just feels right. I feel like I stole it for the price of $29.

The deployment is wicked! :eek: My dream is that one day this is made in the USA with high traction G10, and 154CM or S30V steel.

.... anyone know how to get the Taiwan mark off the blade? haha

So where does the highway robbery come in? If you really like the knife, then clearly it isn't overpriced.
 
A RAT 2 has been my EDC since I got it. Perfect match of quality and price. RAT 1 is great too, but the little brother has passed him up in my opinion.
 
Looks like a decent knife, although I'm no longer enthused by thumbstud opening. I guess I'm just too happy with Spyderco thumbholes. My Benchmade CQC-7 hasn't left the drawer in years.
 
A superb steal @ "$27.95".
I'm amazed just how much I like it, I had never had experience with anything from them before this.

I can't find any offers online at all for it :( I guess the only way you can acquire it is by getting in touch with somebody, maybe somebody here on BF, that specializes in making custom scales and ask for an offer :thumbup:
 
I'm probably gonna get a Rat 2 some time in the near future I love the Rat 1 but it's a pretty large knife.
 
I have a Rat-1 but lord knows where I got it from as all I know is one day there it was in one of my Safes and I have no idea how it got there unless it was in a trade that I knew nothing about.! It has never been used and every once in awhile I come across it and I try to think of what to do with it !** Did not know it was that cheap though as it feels pretty hefty in the hand.** Just never really liked it though and so it is sleeping its life away.!!** LOL

BenLong1018 == saw where you were in the middle of nowhere Ohio ~~ i was at one time = Fairborn,Ohio -- WPAFB -- Dad was in the Air Force == but got smart and left while in my teens.!* lol

The R2 for me is really perfect, very portable, light, flies open with (literally) barely a push on the stud.
The liner lock placed very comfortably at exactly the right height for an easy one hand close.
And there's that great lockout sound it makes... anyone else have that same sound on their R2?

I live in a small town near Youngstown which is number 22 on the country's most dangerous cities list.
