I have many high dollar blades and until I received this cf rat 1 I had no idea what smooth and fast opening was for 55.00 what gives big thumbs up
 
I have an old AUS8 Ontario RAT 1 and it is probably my favorite knife of all time! It's still in my EDC rotation, along with Benchmade, ZT and Kizer!
 
Every RAT 1 that I have ever purchased has been centered and smooth as possible when opening or closing.

I picked up three of the D2 models a couple of weeks ago and all three of them were perfect out of the box.

I got one of the normal plastic handle ones first because I never had a RAT 1 of any kind before and it made such a good impression I had to get a G10 one. First knives in D2, I am a fan.
 
I would just like to add that I concur. The CF D2 rat 1 is one hell of a knife for the price. Great job.

I'd even be bold enough to remove "for the price" from your statement. I've known too many people who routinely carry ZTs and other high end folders who have worked a Rat 1 into their EDC rotation to qualify that statement with "for the price."
 
I just got 2 Rat 1 s with d2 and g10 a couple of months ago. I have one in my waistband right now. Great fit and finish and with these materials probably the best bargain folder on the market right now. Very strong knife. Great job Ontario!:thumbup:
 
The RAT series is hands down the best budget knife in the world. Kudos!

The ergos on the RAT 1 are superb. Hard to believe they can offer so much for the money.
