ontario rat 1 liner problem?

I just got a rat 1 because of all of the hype, and the liner is at like 70% already. Is it supposed to be that far in already? I never got a liner lock knife that was more then like 30% brand new out the box. Is that normal?
 
I looked at the liner on my user/beater Rat-1, and its about at 60%. I don't think that 70% is a deal breaker on a $30 knife, but if it is you might return or exchange it. I bet that you could use that knife for years and would not see it move much.
 
the lock up on mine was late out of the box but has not moved with a year of use.As long as you don't have any blade play or lock rock I wouldn't worry.
 
Mine is like that as well. The tip is broken off too, but I still find use for it on my work bench.
 
Mine doesn't settle in the same spot every time. If I flick it, it locks up early. If I Push all the way it locks up later. I've never had a problem with the lockup.

I wouldn't worry about it.
 
Mine is pretty late as well but has not been much of an issue. It still cuts :)
 
I've had my Rat 1 for over 4yrs and my lock hasn't moved that I can tell. I It is still at about 50%. Like has been said, if you are worried about it send it back, but I would be very surprised if it moves much if at all. For the price you really can't beat the Rat 1!
 
Nah im not going to send it back, was just curious if its normal but it seems from what you guys say the rat lockup can varry, it locks tight so im not gonna worry about it. Its gonna be a like keep in the car kinda knife for me.
