Ontario Rat 1 question

I recently purchased a secondhand Rat 1 in lime green. However, it has silver coloured screws instead of the black screws most of them have, any idea why that would be?

Just done a bit more digging through old threads to try and figure it out. It appears it is probably a sign of a clone. However, the blade centering is perfect, grind is near perfect, shaving, paper slicing sharp, and it has a super solid lock up (even better than my Resilience!) This just doesn't make sense.

It could be counterfeit. I’m not aware of Ontario making a lime green RAT 1.

Like this? Site says $15.50, wholesale bulk price $6.60.

Might want to delete the link so you don’t get pooped by mods for deal spotting.

I went to the site and it said China's largest Tactical knife dealer. The Rat series are made in Taiwan so it'd be a chance. I looked at their Buck offerings and they're all fake.

Oops. No intent to spot a deal. I was thinking it was bogus stuff. Like their "Chris reeve steel handle 440 stainless steel blade foldin knife" at a wholesale price of $5.50. And it has a 9cr18mov blade and 420 handle. Imagine that.

All good. Figured as much, but didn’t want you to get dinged.

Wow. The Chicoms are now cloning $30.00 knives. Hard to believe but I guess they'll clone anything that is popular and sells.

If they would just make a nice round-nosed, serrated knife kind of like a butter or steak knife for $6 I might buy one. Something to spread mayo and mustard and cut a sammich in half.
