Does anyone know the status of the Rat 1 in D2? They’re out of stock on all major retailers with the exception of knife center exclusives which are produced in China. Will all future versions of the Rat be made in China? Have they been unavailable for a while? I’m kicking myself for not picking one up sooner.
 
Mid 2020 was when I last tried to find the D2 version, they were all out of stock then as well.
 
Aren't there some decent similar knives available?
 
A quick search found a bunch of Taiwanese Rat 2 models; with D-2 blades...
 
When they switched from AUS-8 to D-2: it was considered a serious upgrade

If Ontario starts making their Rat knives in China, theyll have a hard time competing with Civivis among the people who don t mind buying China knives.
And Ive got a Rat 1 D2 and a backup. I m a fan. But I ve been edc ing a Civivi Governor lately. Today I m carrying the Brazen. Well made.
