It is a good quality knife. I have never gotten it as sharp as I think it can be. Just never took a liking to it but that is just personal preference. Well made and worth the money if you want a large folder.

I consider it the best $30 I have ever owned - mine can shave and the AUS8 edge can be sharpened to a nice, fine egde from my experience.

I think it's on the heavy side for an EDC. Although I do think it's a fantastic knife for $30. The weight gives it a solid strong feeling. The black coating they use isnt very durable. It scrapes off cutting cardboard. I have both the serrated and plain edge version and can say I don't really like the serrations. My advice would be get a plain edge and satin blade. But it's one of the best $30 knife values. I would say on par with the Spyderco Tenacious and the like.

Agreed. If I could only have one knife in the $25-30 price range, it'd be the RAT-1. (The runners up are the Spyderco Tenacious and Kershaw Nerve.)

Yeah from the video reviews it's obvious the black coating is just paint, I'm sure it chips off incredibly easily, so I'd definitely get the satin finish on the blade.

I really want an orange one but it seems those were a limited run, anyone have any idea if there might be some more made?
