Ontario rat 2 not smooth all of the sudden?

I was flicking my rat2 open a few times today (I don't really flick it a lot) and it was flicking fine and was real smooth when all of the sudden it got very gritty. So much to the point that I can't flick it all of the way open anymore. What happened?

Disassemble, place a drop of lubricant on the blade tang where the detent ball rubs on the blade, reassemble, flick knife with ease.

The same thing happened to my Paramilitary 2 and it immediately fixed it once I applied that drop of lube.

The Rat folders also have a thin nylon type of washer sandwiched between the phosphor bronze washers and the blade. Maybe one tore/bunched up?

The lubricant dried up. Just re-apply more lubricant in the pivot area.

Mine has never opened smoothly, sounds like I need a tear down.
