I haven't really tested the piece on wood or cloth, but here are my first impressions:
1) Shaving sharp out of the box. Shaved hair no time flat.
2) Felt natural in the hand. Once you take it in your hand, you want to work with it.
3) Concealed easily. I actually like the sheath that it comes with. It concealed when attached to belt, under a jacket.
4) Relatively thin blade. Not a prybar, but I think it will make as a really great cutter and slicer.
5) Cardboard was a breeze. Cut up the box it came in. Cut really well and easily.
6) Extremely comfortable in icepick grip.
I'm visiting my brother in Connecticut for Thanksgiving, and I'll test it out on wood, cloth, etc. then.
