Ontario RAT-3 replacement screws?

My apologies if this has been asked already, but I lost two screws and one screw connector (I'm not sure what that's called) on my Ontario RAT-3 and two others seem to be stripped after I took the scales off to completely to remove the finish.

I emailed Ontario and haven't gotten word back. The folks at ESEE say they will send the screws and connectors(?) for $6 but I just read that the screws on the ESEE RAT-3s are a different diameter than the Ontario version.

Is there any place that sells the screws and connectors? I tried my local hardware store, but had no luck. Ebay and and an extensive google search provided no help either.

After I convexed the blade, it became one of my favorite and best performing knives. Being unable to reattach the scales is a huge bummer.

Thanks!

I don't know anything about the screws on this knife though I commend you for overhauling it into something useful for you.

You could . . . and this is down and dirty work here . . . resort to "first principles" and get a thread pitch gauge (six or seven dollars)

and some kind of relatively accurate diameter measuring tool (caliper). Something more basic than shown here can be had for ten or twelve dollars at Sears or even an electronic cheepy for under thirty dollars.

You won't be able to survive in the world without them so may as well. Talk about bug out bag gear. They're in mine.

That's how I came up with these longer torx screws for my scales mod here. Ordered them on line from there. amazon.
Yah they are too long but I will cut them to length; better too long than too short.

Thanks for all the info. I'll definitely look into those suggestions if I can't find the right replacement screws (and even if I can.)

I'm a complete novice compared to some of you guys (I've been browsing for years) but I love buying a decent knife and really making it work for me and what I need it for. My first mod job was with a Becker BK2 (pretty cliche, huh) and I ended up convexing it, stripping and polishing it, stippling the grivory scales, modding a kydex sheath...the whole 9. A lot of fun and, in the end, you got something that truly performs.
