Hey..thanks for all the advice...Everybody seesm to love the RATknives...i don;t need a real big one..I am think about the RAT 3, D-2 steel knife....does anyone have a opinion on this knife, is D2 steel a quality steel....
 
um while both are nice get the RAT cutlery one not the ontario theyre very similar but the differences and the warranty make the RAT the clear winner :D
 
in general i prefer d2 over 1095. i bought my rat 3 in d2 before rat cutlery started their operation.

its a good knife, though ive only used mine a little. i attached it to a bob, so now it just sits. the handle is a little small, and i have med hands. otherwise it is comfortable and has a useful blade shape.

im not crazy about the sheath system, but it is modular and well made. i just prefer leather or nylon w/kydex insert.
 
Rat Cutlery Company = RC3

Go a few extra dollars and get a superior blade/handle,
the best warnty., & support a great company (Rat Cutlery Co.)

I have owned both at the same time and traded the other one off, keeping the RC3 and never looking back! :thumbup:
