Ontario RAT-7 or ESEE-6

I know a lot of people around here are big fans of Esee and will usually disregard everything else, but I just want to know from people who have had experience with both blades, and give honest opinions. That being said, the only problem I've ever heard about Ontario rat-7 is that the sheath is crap (I can easily get a better one) and I know Esee has a "no questions asked warranty" which is great, but with 1095hc steel I don't feel I could break either blades. (I know the heat treatment on the esee is slightly better) Any comments are appreciated!

My preference is for the RAT-7. Even though the ESEE warranty is fantastic, and the heat treat may be better (i've never experienced a problem with the heat treat on either knife), I prefer using and carrying the RAT-7. To me the balance is better, a little more weight forward, slightly longer blade, and sturdier tip. I really like the ESEE-6, it's a great knife from a great company, no complaints other than handle ergos (which are corrected with some handle sanding - same for the RAT-7), but I like the RAT-7 more. I think the knife capabilities are about equal (at least in my experience). As far as sheath goes, I buy knives for the knife, not the sheath. When I molle strap the RAT-7 sheath to my pack, it holds just fine. It's not the highest quality on the market, but it's also not the worst. I've used both to process firewood, clear brush, minor chopping, some feather sticks, etc. No significant difference in performance, but i liked the feel of the RAT-7 in hand better than the ESEE.
