Is there much difference between them? Just looking at them I can't detect any notable differences other than the price. For example the Ontario RTAK 2 seems to be the exact same knife as the ESEE Junglas only about $50 cheaper.

The ESEE have a better fit, finish, heat treat, sheath, warranty, and sheath. (Yes, I mentioned sheath twice on purpose)

Search for the RTAK II on youtube and you'll find several videos with major failures.

I've never seen things like that happen to the Junglas.

And if something like that does happen to the Junglas - BAM, no questions asked warranty.

the fit and finish is better one ESEE and the warranty is amazing that being said there is really nothing wrong with the ontario versions i have beat the crap out of my rtak 2 and it really doesn't show it

I have a RAT 3... scales don't fit right, the texture of the Micarta isn't nearly as nice, I removed the blade coating and found surface defects in the steel (probably not serious), and the edge grind wasn't even. Yeah, ESEE is definitely worth an extra $20 or $30. Go to Knifeworks for the best prices.
