I have one of the older Ontario RAT5's and I'm interested in upgrading the sheath. Can anyone tell me if my RAT 5 will fit the new ESEE 5 Kydex sheath? I know it's a long shot but I'm hoping. Thanks.

Wish I could help you. I have both knives, but my RC-5 came with the original Eagle sheath, not the kydex.

It probably won't fit very well without some modification. If you have a heat gun you may be able to do a bit of remolding to make it work.

Thanks guys. Those side-by-side pics really tell the story; it might fit but it will be loose.

It may be a little loose - the sheath snugs around the micarta handle, so the shape is important to the form, but the width is important to how securely it holds.
The kydex sheath does have the tensioner, so you may be able to cinch it down and get satisfactory results.
