Sadly am parting with some of my blackhawk blades a crucible plain edge folder and a tatang.

I don't know a whole lot about blade steels. I am wondering how the 1095/5160 steels compared to the aus-8a of the crucible and the 1085 of the tatang?

1095 is a general tool steel but I don't know much about 5160.

Thank you for the info

Also if anyone has these knives and have pictures I'd love to see if the handles darken over time and the black micarda really have a green colour to them.

Yes, the handles do darken & get dirty over time. But they can be brought back to like new easily, with some dish soap & a scrub brush/tooth brush. 1095 & 5160 are some FINE steels. Almost every knife i own (50-100) is made from them. Certainly my favorites are. A great all around blade is the RD6. Can't go wrong with any of them. Get you one !!

Ranger Bush Series are 3/16" thick.
Ranger Ready Deployment Series are 1/4" thick.
Ranger Night Stalker Series are 1/4" thick and also have a recurve blade.

:D
