Hey folks, hoping for some input on likes or dislikes of the rtak2 as a hard use outdoors knife.
Also what is your favorite chopper/ BIG camp knife????? thanks for your time:)
PS, what would you recommend as a good chopper?

Yeah that looks pretty good, I like the esee junglas alot but just trying to find out a few that i dont really know exist or cant think of. I saw one on here the other day i think it was called G Zilla that looked really good also.

I didn't like the grips on the RTAK 2.
BK9 is good if you have large but not X-wide hands.
Junglas is very nice but over the $100 price point. (worth it, though - great sheath!)

I want a Junglas, but the BK9 works well. Carries good too. Moose

I have a RTAK II, and I quite like it. It is not in flavor anymore, but I think it is still a fine knife. It is not built as a sharpened prybar, rather a stiff machete.

The Junglas is new, and of course, that adds to it's allure. Though, I have not doubt it is a fine knife too.

A really good chopper is an axe, but big knives are fun too.

Best,
Marion

I also have a RTAK2 and don't like the grip, it's too big. The RTAK2 is also quite heavy. When going big I recommend the Cold Steel Trail Master.

My favorite big knife(production) is a Junglas. It has an extremely comfortable handle on it.

I really liked my RTAK II. I sold it, but wish I didn't. I have a trailmaster that I really like a lot too. I've pretty much decided to buy a BK-9 as well. I also really like the KaBar large heavy Bowie.

Man, that Cutlass Machete is a monster, I almost bought one a couple of weeks ago. For like, $50, its a beast of a heavy use knife. Moose
