Hello, Back in 2018 I bought an Ontario SP-6 when they dipped down to $30. It hasn't been used except for stabbing the tip into some wood. The body of the blade is new (and pretty meh). Could anybody recommend someone who could sharpen the blade and swedge and give the tip some TLC? Ontario used to sharpen the SP-6 swedges, but those days were gone by 2018. I am terrible at sharpening let alone grinding a swedge into an edge. Thanks in advance!

This might be a good time to learn to sharpen . ;)

Professional service is not cheap .

Regarding sharpening the swedge:

BE CAREFUL!!!
Some but not all jurisdictions consider a sharpened swedge to be a double edged blade or "weapon", which may or may not be legal.

Check with your local LEO or an attorney to verify sharpening the swedge won't turn it in to an illegal double edged knife/"weapon" before sharpening the swedge. 😇

Thanks, It would be legal in my state which I don't plan on traveling out of (at least not carrying this knife).

As far as improving my sharpening skills, I long ago came to the realization that I just don't have the touch. I'm at peace with it. :) I have a local sharpener I use but he can't do the swedge.
